A new rare and exciting role is available for an Export Special Account Co-ordinator, join this well established (for over 40 years) Global Logistics Provider based at the Heathrow HQ. You’ll be responsible for handling a special AVI (Live animals) export account. The successful candidate will have previous air export ops/docs/Customs experience. The Live Animals vertical offers a unique service to a unique market - live animals transportation, our client is a niche and trusted provider in the industry who are committed to the safe and humane transport of animals for zoological or agricultural purposes. Tailoring special routings and customized services based on animal needs and behaviour’s. Our team and trusted service providers are trained to recognize emergency situations and act appropriately to protect the safety and welfare of animals both in the air and on the ground.

Employment Terms for the Export Special Account Coordinator

  • Mon-Fri 9-5.30 plus paid overtime
  • Salary £32-34k basic (DOE)
  • Some 'out of hours’ cover required shared on a rota ; paid on overtime
  • 20 days holiday plus BH
  • Office Based Position

Responsibilities for the Export Special Account Coordinator

  • Handling AVI air exports; mainly consisting of Chicks and Hatching eggs
  • Occasional assistance in warehouse is needed especially for feeding chicks on the rare occasion of delayed flights
  • Airfreight quotes
  • Booking airline and following up with airline on bookings
  • Obtaining the OK2 FWD from airline
  • Cutting AWB
  • Customs Clearance
  • Follow up of each shipment and reporting; outlining details of shipment / photos of the ULD build up
  • Using CargoWise Software (experience pref but not necessary)

Skills & Experience Required for the Export Special Account Coordinator

  • Previous airfreight export operations knowledge
  • Cutting/Rating Airwaybills
  • Completing Export Customs Entries
  • Quotes
  • Competent using Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Liaising with Customers/Airlines & Transport Providers
  • Flexible attitude to working hours
  • Steady 5 year employment history with ideally no gaps
  • NO criminal record
  • Driving Licence Preferred
