Job Title: Experienced Machine Setter

Location: Yate, UK
Type: Permanent
Salary: £13.70 - £16.45 per hour

You will be working Monday to Friday and responsible for the output of production by setting and regularly maintaining the machinery. The machinery is a semi-automated production line, which utilises hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC-controlled systems. The environment is challenging but an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in developing a career in engineering.

You will be required to:-

• Set machinery to achieve production targets

• Carry out basic root cause analysis using available WCM tools and resolve where appropriate

• Escalate to the help chain team if the fault persists after exhausting available tools

• Maintain 5S standards in all areas of work

• Rotate as required across processes and machinery that one is competent to set

• Carry out autonomous maintenance activities required for relevant process/machinery

• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities providing ideas and suggestions where appropriate

• Support the development of other team members using the relevant training sign-off documentation

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Machine Setter in a technical environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and teamwork skills
