Our client has a small restaurant/bar in near Buntingford, Hertfordshire which has recently been refurbished. The restaurant serves freshly-prepared food with a menu built from mainly small plates with a feast of flavours from across the world, prepared fresh to order with the concept of sharing.

Due to their continued growth, we are now recruiting an experienced Chef to join their successful team.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Prepare and cook food in accordance to our recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our high-quality standards
  • Oversee food production and presentation
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as required
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment whilst adhering to all H&S regulations
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff

You will:

  • Have proven experience as a Chef with knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
  • Have great experience and be confident and proactive with a passion for all things food and drink
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, health and safety regulations with a commitment to the highest standards of service and operations
  • Work closely with the management team and have a responsibility for stock management
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Have strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
