Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are excited to be working exclusively with a worldwide manufacturer of automated packing machines, as they look to add an experienced Purchasing Expeditor into their well-established team based in Wakefield. This is a newly created role and so will give the successful candidate a unique opportunity to really put their own stamp on it.  

They are looking for an experienced individual who can provide proactive support by working closely with the buying and production team, to expedite POs with all the suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the right products are delivered in a timely manner.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Purchasing Expeditor Include: 

  • Chasing all deliveries from all suppliers by telephone and email
  • Visiting of key suppliers / subcontractors to confirm progress is being made
  • Work with production to monitor and expedite incoming raw materials 
  • Manage workload in-line with business and customer requirements

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak to candidates who have the following skills and experience:

  • Good systems and Microsoft office knowledge
  • Ability to manage supplier portfolios from new product introduction to serial production and ensuring OTD
  • Experience reading engineer drawings or BOM and identify critical aspects of a specification
