SALARY:                    £14.22 PAYE inclusive / £15.12 Umbrella 
DURATION:temp – perm
HOURS:                      Mon – Fri 8-4 or 10-6
 
 
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans? Join a national charity as an Ex-Veterans Support Worker on a temp to perm basis and be part of a team dedicated to empowering veterans to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
As an Ex-Veterans Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing direct support for veterans, ensuring their well-being and independence. Your commitment to service excellence, team collaboration, and outcome monitoring will drive the success of our initiatives, making a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country.

  • To directly provide support for veterans, empowering them to maximize their independence.
  • Collate information to enable accurate reporting on performance against internal/external targets and outcomes.
  • Ensure veterans are fully involved at all levels in the running of the project.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in Supported Housing, Homelessness, Mental Health, and Substance Misuse.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out person-centered key-working, need/risk assessment, and support planning.
  • Commitment to staying informed about relevant initiatives, especially those pertinent to veterans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with veterans and external agencies.
  • Understanding of financial procedures and experience in ensuring veterans' access to appropriate benefits and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Qualification in a relevant field such as Social Work, Health Services, or Mental Health Support.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and best practices in healthcare and social services.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one via BRC
