Projects and Events Executive (10 month Fixed-Term Contract)

  • Salary: £31,000 pro rata

My client based in Gloucester is looking for a proactive and dynamic Projects and Events Executive to join their team on a part time 3 day per week basis to cover a 10 month period of maternity leave. The company are based in central Gloucester within close proximity to the train station.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the planning and organisation of various member-facing events and training courses, as well as managing ad hoc projects. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage the planning and organisation of conferences, exhibitions, road shows, and other events, including venue selection, scheduling, publicity, budgeting, and delegate management.
  • Oversee the planning and organisation of on-site and online training courses, including new course development, venue coordination, scheduling, and promotion.
  • Develop and manage courses provided via the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Plan, schedule, and organise ad hoc projects as directed by the Operations Director or Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide operational support for IT, website, app, and administration related to events and projects.
  • Offer advice and support to members, ensuring you are informed of issues important to them.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to establish collaborative relationships across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and priority management skills.

This will be an office based role ideally with occasional travel to the events that you assist in organising in September, November and February.
