Temporary Events Officer

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Recruitment Officer – Events to join our client’s External Relations Department. This role is integral to supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives relating to recruitment and enhancing the profile, reputation, and impact both locally and internationally. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for marketing and delivering high-quality events.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver an impactful annual events programme to support student recruitment and raise the organisation’s profile.
  • Manage and deliver multiple events simultaneously, ensuring they are resourced appropriately, delivered to the highest standard, and provide value for money.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding operational requirements throughout the event delivery process.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with delivery partner colleagues and internal clients.
  • Work with teams across the department on events promotional and communication plans to meet attendance targets and ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Head of PR and Social Media to establish appropriate metrics and performance criteria for all events.
  • Understand the organisation’s ambitions, academic credibility, research portfolio, course offer, and target market to support event development.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams such as Content, Design, and Digital delivery teams to develop assets and ensure campaign briefs are met.
  • Implement digital and innovative solutions for event delivery and customer experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or recent, comparable work experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering a range of high-quality events, including digital/virtual.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Experience of reviewing activity, reporting on outcomes, and making recommendations.
  • Knowledge of CRM implementation and/or delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to write copy for a range of audiences.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Creative flair, innovative ideas, and attention to detail.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and able to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team.
