Event Director - £80-90k - London.

A fast growing Event Management company widely recognised as a world-leading provider of event and travel solutions, are currently seeking an outstanding Event Director candidate to join their fast-growing event division.

Event Director Overview

As an Event Director, you are responsible for the successful project delivery of events across their key accounts, taking accountability of everything from product sourcing and distribution through to completion. This is an opportunity to grow in this hands-on multifaceted fast paced role. Working on event briefs, client proposals and merchandise requests for some of the leading brands and industry names. Enhancing our client and customer experience by working creatively, proactively and thinking outside of the box. Overcoming business challenges, providing solutions, developing relationships, and working to deadlines.

In addition you will be required to be able to manage large scale budgets, and so must be confident with complex financials that span across several currencies. Managerial experience is key, along with the ability to be able to work as part of the wider team on project deliverables, that include the need for an understanding on group event travel. Skills across creative new client initiative concepts, detailed proposals and confident pitching would be necessary to assist with the company drive for new client onboarding.

Event Director Skills and Attributes

  • 4 years+ experience in Event Management and strong project management skills.
  • Creating detailed proposals and event briefs, client pitching
  • Experience sourcing and communicating with suppliers globally.
  • Solid understanding of global venues, alongside excellent research skills.
  • Good understanding of AV and production.
  • Experience with RFP’s.
  • Confident managing large scale budgets and event forecasts in multiple currencies.
  • Demonstrate outstanding time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to adapt a 'can-do’ and flexible attitude.
  • A creative and organised mindset.
  • Delivering a great customer experience and maintaining an above and beyond attitude.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the team and other departments and supporting divisional directors.
  • Line management experience, managing teams both on and off projects whilst managing own events and clients.
  • Supporting company business development including identifying target clients, outreach, pitching and closing.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
  • Proven experience with IT programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Sales force, and PowerPoint.
