A highly successful recognisable consumer brand is searching the market for a European Languages Speaking Credit Controller for their growing European Collections team in the Reading area. Due to recent success the aforementioned company are looking to expand their core functions across the business and as such are searching for a Credit Controller to join their business to help drive the organisation forwards, and support their ongoing penetration into international markets.

The position holder will be joining an established team, supporting on daily collections duties, providing their support to help mitigate risk and debt losses, helping to ensure that overdue debt is actioned and minimised and enhance the overall collections process. Additionally, valuable support will be provided when speaking with European clients, with the position holder being required to know languages such as German, French or Spanish.
 
Role and Responsibilities:
While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Chasing clients for their outstanding debt, ensuring this is paid on time and within the agreed terms
  • Supporting on opening new accounts, ensuring that all references and information is acquired, and applications are completed accurately
  • Suggesting and reviewing customer credit limits, utilising trading history information and online resources
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis on aged debt, payment performance trends, using this information to identify risk and create insightful reporting on cashflow forecasts
  • Acting as a point of contact for customer questions, handling queries in a timely manner
  • Providing customers with monthly statements to keep them informed of the current financial situation
  • Overseeing the entire communications process, from the first reminder letters all the way through until the final notice is issued
  • Ensuring that appropriate sales colleagues are informed of debt collections or legal actions against existing accounts
  • Overseeing the held order process, including communicating with relevant parties, such as ASMs and colleagues to inform them of updates

What you will need to Apply:

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive previous credit control experience and been successful in collections, setting up new accounts and setting credit limits. Applicants must speak and write fluently a European langue, either German, French or Spanish and be able to demonstrate this when asked. Additionally, experience of the order to cash cycle is required, alongside excellent systems and IT knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Oracle. Of course, exquisite communication skills are a must for this role, as well as a proactive approach to work.
  
What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate, a salary of up to £40,000 will be on offer, which will be highly dependent on the amount of relevant experience held and the possession of a second language, fluently spoken. Alongside this there will be a full renumeration package, which is above market rate and there will be options for hybrid working as well, to ensure that the successful candidate is supported to work in the best manner possible.
