Estimator Position - Midlands or Northwest or Yorkshire

Company Overview:
We are a leading construction company that achieved a turnover of £200 million last year and is on a growth trajectory to reach £500 million. Our focus is on refurbishment projects, particularly in live environments, with expertise in Passive Fire Protection, Decarbonization, Heating, Rewires, and Social Housing.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, ideally based out of our Walsall office or to operate out one the other offices across the North. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in tendering for and pricing projects, collaborating closely with senior teams on a regional basis and working alongside Bid Managers to present compelling bids to clients.

Responsibilities:
Estimate project costs accurately and competitively, considering all relevant factors and ensuring maximum profitability for the company.
Collaborate with Bid Managers to develop bids that meet client requirements and present the company in the best possible light.
Communicate effectively with subcontractors and the supply chain to obtain competitive pricing and quotations.
Liaise with clients, including local authorities, Housing Associations, Schools, and the NHS, to understand project needs and specifications.
Contribute to the tendering process for competitive projects, particularly larger-scale jobs, to secure new business and drive growth.

Requirements:
Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on refurbishment projects.
Familiarity with Passive Fire Protection, Decarbonization, Heating, Rewires, and Social Housing projects is highly desirable.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Comfortable working with competitive tenders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Open to candidates who feel they have hit a glass ceiling in their current role and are seeking new opportunities for growth.

Benefits:
Competitive salary of £65,000 basic.
Pension scheme with a contribution of 10% if the employee puts in 5%.
