Estimator - Devon
Attention experienced construction Estimators! An exciting opportunity has just opened up with a regional contractor based in Devon. This contractor work across various sectors, including Student Accommodation, Defence, Education and Healthcare and are looking for an Estimator to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for producing analytical cost estimates that reflect the programme, methodology and risks.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures all estimates are produced in accordance with the estimating department procedures
  • Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining best prices
  • Analyse plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs
  • Manage and present estimating / tendering information, site visits to gather information required
  • Help identify the supply chain based on an informed and well developed understanding of the market
  • Oversee the management of the production of papers for use in tender reviews and adjudications
  • Assess the financial, technical and operational risks of the project
  • Report writing and record keeping
Skills:
  • Experience in a previous role required
  • Commercial project experience
  • Construction related degree desirable
  • Relevant driving licence
