Estimator

A high-end luxurious property management company is on the lookout for an Estimator to join their fast-growing maintenance team, in Tunbridge Wells.

This role will be assisting with and supporting a growing maintenance team of 22 tradesmen.

Responsibilities:

• Finding out what the client's needs are
• Be able to make suggestions from a client's ideas.
• Researching materials, equipment, and labour costs, know to accurately quote works.
• Gathering quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and collating
• Assessing the levels of risk on a project.
• Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.
• Preparing and submitting quotations for work.
• Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
• Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts.
• Quality checking live projects so completion has minimal to no snagging needed.

• Understanding of tendering, estimating, and buying.
• Experience of managing elements of construction projects.

• Attention to detail.
• Proven background in the building/construction trade and ability to fairly cost jobs and time frames.
