We are currently recruiting for our Neath based manufacturing client, who are seeking to grow their staff with the addition of an Estimator to their team. Our client have been established for nearly 40 years and this is an exciting opportunity to become part of highly successful team.

Your role as an Estimator will require you to provide a helpful, knowledgeable and skilled service for new and existing customers, carefully asking questions and providing an invaluable service interpreting customer requirements into a perfect solution.

You will guide, advise and establish customer needs by making use of excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will provide suitable and relevant quotations to customers and a 2DAutocad drawing, nurturing the relationships to ensure that customers feel that the service offered is professional and high quality - in tune with their needs and in line with their budgets and specifications.

A thorough understanding of our client’s product range and its capabilities is essential to grasp, therefore, a technical understanding of drawings and manufacturing is highly beneficial. An interest in aesthetics in the built environment and current standards is important to demonstrate the passion and desire to provide the very best solution to customers and markets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE ROLE AS ESTIMATOR :

  • To produce autocad drawings (Autocad2D) to accompany quotes.
  • To assist with customer enquiries.
  • Produce quotations.
  • Follow up quotations.
  • Gather information from customers.
  • Generate quotes and increase the level of quotations.
  • Improve conversion rates.
  • Increase sales.
  • Record data using CRM system
  • Communicate and work alongside other departments including accounts, dispatch, production etc.
  • Creating good working relationships to ensure internal process runs smoothly.
  • Filing of paperwork.

MAIN ATTRIBUTES, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS TO UNDERTAKE THE ROLE AS ESTIMATOR :

  • It is essential to hold suitable CAD qualifications.
  • A proven high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven design skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills / ability to build rapport.
  • Experience of estimating and providing quotations is essential.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. There is also an opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to commence in a similar role, working towards becoming an experienced and qualified Estimator. Our client would consider this option from candidates who have a genuine interest, passion and knowledge within this field.
