ESOL and Functional Skills English Tutor

Morgan Hunt are working with an community focussed Training Provider who are recruiting for an ESOL and Functional Skills English Tutor. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a possibility for extension. The role will involve travelling across the clients 2 sites near Vauxhall and Greenwich delivering in person. The role will involve teaching post 16 and adult learners ESOL and Functional Skills English up to Level 2. The salary for this role is paying between £27,000-£29,000.

The ESOL and Functional Skills English Tutor will be responsible for:

• creating lesson plans and schemes of work
  
• delivering ESOL and Functional Skills English up to Level 2
  
• tracking, monitoring and reporting on learner progress with wider curriculum team
  
• providing IAG to learners
  
• completing necessary documentation required by the organisation for awarding bodies and other external organisations
  
• preparing for EQA visits
  
• conducting reviews with the quality team
  
  The ESOL and Functional Skills English Tutor will need to have:
  
• an ESOL teaching qualification
  
• experience of teaching ESOL and Functional Skills English Level 2 to post 16 and adult learners
  
• classroom management experience
  
• a minimum of grade C in English and Maths or equivalent
  
• the ability to travel across clients sites
