The starting salary for this role is £57,868 per annum for working 36 hours per week.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

We're on the lookout for a talented individual to fill the pivotal role of ERP Contracts and Commercial Manager within the ICF (Intelligent Client Function) team. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of overseeing and managing contractual and commercial aspects related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. It's a unique chance to take a key role in Surrey County Council's transformational journey.

This role is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be on site at Reigate, Woodhatch Place as and when required.

About the Team

The My Surrey Client Engagement & Development Function is a new team established by the Council to drive meaningful transformation through optimising our new ERP system, Unit 4, ensuring it becomes a powerful tool to drive efficiency and collaboration.

You will be working within the team that deals with all change activity around the ERP system and work closely with IT&D colleagues; the Supplier Account Manager and Procurement to manage the contractual and commercial elements of the system.

About the role

The ERP Contracts and Commercial Manager will hold a management position, therefore providing a unique opportunity to help shape the direction, strategic goals, and culture of this new function. The role holder will have ample opportunity to nurture, manage, and develop talent, driving change within the organisation making improvements.

In the role, you will have the goal of utilising your contracts and commercial expertise to ensure ERP vendors and service providers adhere to their contractual commitments, meeting timelines and deliverables. Additionally, you'll drive value for money in ERP projects, optimising performance while balancing costs and identifying and mitigating contractual risks. All this will enable the smooth running of ERP projects, avoid disruptions, and ensure compliance with regulation and legislation. You will also have line management responsibility of the Contracts & Commercials Officer, who will be supporting you.

About you

  5. Tell us about a time you have built a relationship with a key supplier and how you went about doing this, and what benefits that bought to the Business?

In order to be considered for shortlisting to interview, your CV and answers will clearly evidence the following criteria:

  • You are comfortable with leading and providing guidance within dynamic environments, with a willingness to take a hands-on approach to manage and drive delivery and transformation.
  • You are detail orientated professional, with an in depth and detailed understanding of contracts and commercials in relation to ERP systems.
  • You will possess the ability to navigate complex procurement landscapes, ensure compliance, and optimise contract performance.
  • Experience of working with Unit 4 would be an advantage.
