Equity Research Associate A&D - Bulge Bracket Bank - London

Our client, a leading tier-1 bank, is looking to grow its highly regarded Aerospace & Defence Equity Research team with the addition of an Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and providing investment recommendations within the aerospace and defence sector. Your insights will guide institutional investors, fund managers, and other stakeholders and clients in making informed decisions regarding investments in companies within this industry.

Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the aerospace and defense industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic factors influencing the sector.
• Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models to evaluate the performance and valuation of aerospace and defense companies. This includes forecasting revenue, earnings, cash flow, and conducting scenario analysis.
• Company Coverage: Provide comprehensive coverage of specific aerospace and defense companies, including conducting company visits, management interviews, and industry conferences to gather relevant information.
• Investment Recommendations: Generate investment recommendations based on your analysis, including buy, sell, or hold ratings on stocks within the aerospace and defense sector. Present your findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Equity Research experience from a leading investment bank. Coverage of aerospace and defence is highly advantageous, but not strictly required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment principles, with specific expertise in the aerospace and defense sector.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
