Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead

Castlefield Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Public Sector organisation based in London that requires an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for 12 months on a fixed term contract basis .

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Lead on the delivery of the organisation’s ED&I strategy and be the subject matter expert regarding the interpretation and application of national policy, guidance and best practice equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Coordinate and lead the organisation’s response to its internal and external reporting obligations
  • Maintain an overview of work within the organisation to monitor
  • Work in partnership with Managers to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is fully embedded in operational business plans
  • Ensure that the organisation develops methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives to grow engagement and involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved communities 
  • Develop a forward plan of awareness-raising and engagement events

Key experiences and skills to include;

  • Masters level education or significant relevant experience providing an equivalent knowledge base
  • CIPD qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development with an emphasis on EDI and leadership
  • Experience of devising and implementing high impact EDI interventions and applying equality and diversity good practice principles
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels, including executive level, to get buy in for the inclusion agenda
  • Proven experience in identifying risks, anticipating issues and creating solutions to resolve problems in relation to EDI
  • Experience analysing, interpreting and utilising data to inform strategic plans, including setting and measuring KPI’s
