About the Role

As an EHS Coordinator based in Barrow-upon-Humber, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various business units. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures related to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. Additionally, you'll provide guidance and support to employees and third-party stakeholders on EHS matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in maintaining a safety-focused culture and promoting positive reporting practices.
  • Assist in developing risk assessments, safe work systems, and instructions.
  • Support the preparation and execution of audits by organising relevant documentation and evidence.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections in accordance with group standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and committees, contributing to discussions and documenting minutes.
  • Assist in managing the Integrated Management System and controlling corrective actions.
  • Provide administrative support for EHS action plans and risk registers.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Numerical and analytical aptitude, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification is essential, with NEBOSH Certificate desirable.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, including willingness to pursue further qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory and legislative requirements pertaining to EHS.
  • Experience in auditing and familiarity with Integrated Management Systems across multiple standards is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid full driving license is essential and vehicle

Salary/Benefits

  • £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • 37.5hrs
