Major Recruitment are currently Environmental Enforcement Officer in Rickmansworth

  • 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
  • To cover sick leave . 3 months initially but could potentially be up to 6 months
  • Driving Required for the role
  • Hybrid working available - Must come into the office 1 day per week, can work from home 1 day per week and this leaves 3 days for site visits.
  • £16.63 - £17.59 PAYE basic

Purpose of Role

To provide effective and efficient waste and environmental services to both customers and elected members. To enforce all Sections of the Environmental Protection Act appertaining to waste and litter

Knowledge/skills/qualifications:

  • GCSE’s or equivalent - Maths, English Language (E)
  • Knowledge of PACE and issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)

Experience

  • At least 5 year’s experience of enforcement or waste management related issues
  • Experience of Dealing with Customers, either Face to Face, or on telephone

ICT/ technological aptitude

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and on line research tools

Personal qualities

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • A self-motivator, with an ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Committed to providing a quality service. Must show a commitment to customer care
  • Able to work effectively under pressure
