Rate - £900 per day (inside IR35 via umbrella)

Duration- 12 months

Location- London, Bristol, York, Norwich on site twice a week

We have partnered up with a leading financial services company as they look to recruit an Enterprise Data Architect (AWS focused). Your role will report into the head of data architecture and will guide the market and existing Data Architects, this is a 'stand alone' role bringing the business and strategy together.

• Market Enterprise Data Architect
• Lead Data Platform SA's
• Solution Architects

Primary Deliverables

• Define the portfolio of enterprise "data products" being delivered on AWS; to enable data strategy and provide the building blocks for new data & analytics capabilities.
• Ensure for these 'data products' effective value capture, prioritisation, enabling business use case alignment, and key architectural decisions required.
• Deliver & maintain the logical and physical architectural patterns composing these "data products".; and ensure these are leveraged by market design authorities
• Deliver & maintain summary playbooks to guide adoption of these "data products"; and ensure this knowledge is embedded into markets and is guiding the SA community.

Key Responsibilities

• High-level architecture for re-usable AWS-based data products aligned against the market data roadmap and overarching data strategy
• Ensuring the data product boundaries functionally and non-functionally enable use cases across multiple markets; including but not limited to data availability
• Ensuring testable understanding of 'data products' against existing data flows, and accurate co-definition of as-is and to-be use case state with solution architects to demonstrate value
• Ensuring that Data Product solutions are deliverable:
  • Co-own with lead data platforms architect requirements for data into AWS cloud offering; in alignment with data strategy
  • Ensure appropriate cloud and infrastructure patterns & capabilities are approved / in place / on the roadmap to enable the above.

Must be experienced in:

• Delivery of AWS-based data & analytics capabilities, built on foundational services such as EMR, Glue, MWAA, Dynamo, Kinesis, Kafka and Sagemaker
• AWS Cloud Data Platforms Architecture and AWS Cloud Security & Infrastructure
• Insurance or Regulated Financial Services Industries
• Creating Solutions within a modern data architecture context such as data fabric or data mesh, and of cornerstone data & analytics capabilities (including data lakes, data warehouse, integration & analytics architectures).
• Strong communicator at multiple levels of detail, with strong experience of simplifying technical concepts for senior consultation and decision making
