Our ideal candidate will:

  • Having a secure knowledge of teaching English.
  • The ability to relate to learners of different ages and different stages is essential.
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or willing to work towards).
  • A specialist or further qualification in English (minimum Level 3 English qualification).
  • Open, honest, and supportive behaviours.
  • Patient and empathetic.
  • Responsive and flexible.
  • Experience of curriculum design and development.
  • Strong ICT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams.

We are looking for a passionate and creative individual, who is able to work with small groups and individuals, delivering Functional Skills English. Ability to teach Mathematics would be desirable but not essential. We do learning differently and we welcome candidates from all educational areas to join us and see what is possible when teaching comes first.

Salary: £25,000 - £27,555 per annum

The salary for this role is £25,000 per annum, however there is scope for an additional payment of up to £2,555 per annum for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake additional duties to further support the operation and performance of the Department.
