Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce that we are seeking English Teachers for our client in Saudi Arabia.

Position

  • Understand the learning needs of their students and design innovative and creative lessons to engage students in learning and support them to improve their educational outcomes.
  • Teachers participate in a subject based professional learning team to support their professional growth. Teams will be 6-8 teachers working with an instructional leader to discuss what is happening in classrooms, analyse classroom-based data to drive improvement and share practices that engage students in learning. Teachers participate in peer observations within their teams and provide critical reflection to support the team improve it practices.
  • Teachers participate in a fortnightly staff meeting and a homeroom professional learning team, after school hours.
  • Teachers know their students and personalise learning in the classroom to support all students to improve. Differentiation of learning activities and collaborative learning in small groups is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities for the English Teachers Position

  • Participates in professional learning, planning implementation and reflection of the curriculum that affects their grades and adds to their understanding of the scope and sequence of learning across the school
  • Supports the social development and well-being of their class of students through a range of strategies e.g activities program and cultural events
  • Integrates information learning technology strategies (using smart-board) into the teaching and learning program to engage students in learning
  • Participates in the development of the schools’ standards-based assessment and reporting practices
  • Develops, delivers and leads professional learning for colleagues to improve classroom practice
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural sensitivities in the Saudi Arabian context and their impact on teaching and learning
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with student, parents, and teachers
  • Demonstrated commitment to student welfare and the capacity to make a positive contribution to the transformational journey of the school
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with students who are bilingual, with English as their second language

Experience & Education Requirements for the English Teachers Position

  • Bachelor's or above in English/Education.
  • Minimum 3 years Teaching Experience in a school setting.
  • An additional teaching certificate is preferable.
  • Experience teaching English Literature is an advantage.
