Position - Teacher of English

Location - Mid Kent

Start Date - September 2024

Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with an excellent Grammar School in the Mid Kent area to recruit a Teacher of English for a full time role commencing in September 2024! The role will consist of teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 students - salary of between £30,000 and £46,525 depending on experience.

The role:

  • Create and deliver high quality English lessons across all secondary Key Stages - KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A Level exams ensuring they meet or exceed expected grades
  • Attend Departmental meetings and parents evenings when required
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events when required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching secondary aged students is essential
  • Strong behaviour management skills ensuring the students remain on task and achieve their full potential
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a real enthusiasm for teaching and learning
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
