We are excited to announce that a Prospero are actively seeking a teacher of English to work in an Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school in Rickmansworth starting January 2024.

The ability to teach up to KS5 is highly desired, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. This is also open to ECT's, so if you are a soon-to-be PGCE graduate then please apply! Teachers who have trained overseas but are looking to start a teaching career in London are also encouraged to apply!

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive department located within a diverse and vibrant school community, in which student achievement is at the heart of their work.

As a member of their team, you will be paid in line with your main pay scale and will have access to a wide range of resources and the support of an incredible staff team.

The school is committed to finding the right English teacher and as such a lesson observation and interview will be required as a pre-screening measure.

English teaching role key responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Assess and evaluate student progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings.

English teaching role requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English.
• The ability to teach up to KS5 is highly desired.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students.
