We are seeking an English Teacher who is passionate about literature and language and is eager to inspire young minds in a vibrant secondary school setting. This role is ideal for an educator with a proven track record of effective classroom management and engaging teaching methods, ready to foster critical thinking and a lifelong love for words in a diverse and engaged student body.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver inspiring English lessons that captivate students’ imaginations and foster a love for literature, creative writing, and critical analysis.
  • Encourage active participation, discussion, and independent thinking within the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Support students’ personal and academic growth, tailoring instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to maintain a dynamic and stimulating learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the current curriculum.
  • Proven track record of effective classroom management and engaging teaching methods.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and interest pupils and encourage their active participation.
