An outstanding secondary school in central Northampton is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is eager to inspire and make a difference in the lives of students.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students’ academic growth and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • In-depth understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
