Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School Science Teacher to join is in supporting schools in Oldham and surrounding areas. As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students with a love for literature, language, and critical thinking skills.

Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that cover a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, in accordance with the national curriculum.

Practical Investigations: Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiments and practical investigations, providing students with opportunities to develop their scientific inquiry skills and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts.

Scientific Literacy: Develop students' scientific literacy by promoting critical thinking, analysis, and evaluation of scientific information, as well as fostering an appreciation for the role of science in society and the natural world.

Assessment and Feedback: Use a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development in science.

Differentiation: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, providing additional support and extension opportunities as necessary to ensure all students are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential in science.

Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and interdisciplinary learning opportunities, as well as contributing to departmental initiatives and the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialization in science.
- Relevant degree in a scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, physics, or related field).
- Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current educational research and best practices in science teaching.
