We are excited to offer the opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Bury St Edmunds. If you have a passion for literature and language and are eager to inspire young minds, we would love to hear from you.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach English Literature and Language to secondary school students, bringing texts from Shakespearean sonnets to contemporary novels to life.
  • Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that engage and challenge students.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment through effective behaviour management.
  • Utilise your strong subject knowledge in English to inspire and motivate students to explore and excel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.
  • Degree in English Literature or Language, providing a solid academic foundation.
  • Experience teaching in the UK education system is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for English among students.
