 English teacher required for January start in Slough

We are currently working with a secondary school in Slough that is seeking an English teacher to join their team from January 2024. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and has a diverse and inclusive community of learners. The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment, where teachers are encouraged to share best practice and develop their professional skills.

As an English teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to students of all abilities from Year 7 to Year 11. You will also be expected to assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback and intervention, and contribute to the wider curriculum and extracurricular activities. You will be working with a friendly and dedicated department that strives to achieve high standards and foster a love of reading and writing among students.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)

- A relevant degree in English or a related subject

- Experience of teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level

- A strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks

- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

- A positive and flexible attitude and a willingness to learn and improve
