English Teacher - Independent Prep School

Our client, a highly sought after pre-prep and prep school in Hampstead, is looking for a suitably qualified English Teacher to join their school on a full time and permanent basis from September 2024.


Our client is an established school with an excellent reputation across London as a leading pre-preparatory and preparatory school. The school is part of one the most successful private schools groups in the UK, providing outstanding pastoral and academic outcomes to pupils and outstanding opportunities for professional development to staff at all levels.

The successful English Teacher will be working in a structured environment with a strong focus on academics and feeding selective schools in North London.

This post will require a full time commitment and the salary would be based on experience. The incoming English Teacher will have excellent communication skills, being able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and members of the school community.

The incoming English Teacher will teach across varying Key Stages from Reception to Year 8. A suitable candidate profile will include:

  • Experience teaching English at prep level
  • A good degree in a relevant discipline
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience teaching up to Key Stage 3
