We are delighted to be working with our ever expanding client, who are seeing a new SHEQ Advisor to join them on a permanent contract. Working as a SHEQ Advisor, no two days will be the same, but you will play a fundamental part in ensuring safety and quality standards across major UK locations.

This role is a WFH position with occasional site travel required (on average once per month)

Job duties for the SHEQ Advisor include:
  • Provide SHEQ support to Engineering (Customer Engineering Services, Discipline Engineering and Engineering Projects)
  • You will assist in the achievement of the Global policy not to harm people or the environment, through sustainable implementation of SHEQ management systems (i.e. policy, standards, procedures, tools and processes) and key SHEQ improvement programmes
  • Lead the Operations & Engineering auditing programme
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) process and act as Engineering’s representative in the Organisational Management of Change (OMOC) process
  • Be responsible for the Technical Authority framework
  • You will deliver SHEQ training to Engineering personnel
  • Furthermore, you will support the use of our SHEQ management software (Intelex and Elevate)
  • Visible leadership of the SHEQ agenda
The ideal SHEQ Advisor will have
  • Experience of SHEQ management systems in an industrial setting
  • Familiar with the legislative frameworks in the UK & Ireland (as applicable to SHEQ) and understand the role of Regulatory Authorities
  • You are competent to interpret and advise on SHEQ legislation and guidance
  • Furthermore, you are motivated to improve processes to make them more efficient and enhance the user experience
  • You hold, or are willing to obtain, the NEBOSH Diploma and other relevant qualifications
  • And finally, as part of this role you are able and willing to travel to locations throughout the UK & Ireland
Working hours will be flexible withing day office hours.
