Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6)

Main Responsibilities

About the role

  • The Engineering Degree apprenticeship here at Ford will take you 4 years to complete, with an 8 month rotation plan - allowing you to gain experience across a variety of areas within Ford and learn all about what each department has to offer.
  • You will receive on-the-job training which will allow you to learn new skills and apply your experience to the working world. This will take place either at our Dunton Campus or Dagenham Engine Plant.
  • You will gain an NVQ Level 2 diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (PEO), Foundation Degree in , and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)
  • Weekly day release to attend university and expand your knowledge.

The Ideal Candidate

To here at Ford, you will have the following attributes:

  • A positive attitude to problem solving.
  • Ability to work ethically and take responsibility.

To become part of our team, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE at Grade 5 or above, this must include Maths, English (Literature) at Grade 5 or above.
  • Plus Physics or Double Science GCSE at Grade 5 or above.
  • Alternatively, if you have not studied Physics or Double Science we can accept NVQ or BTEC Level 3 or above in an engineering subject.
  • In addition to the above, we also require 3 A Levels at BBC or higher (or equivalent) predicted or achieved. These must include a B in maths and one other STEM subject (Science, Technology or Engineering) and equate to 112 UCAS points.
