Job Title: Engine Builder / Vehicle Technician

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Hours of Work: 38.75 hours per week

Place of Work: Liss, GU33 7NX, West Sussex

Role Summary

· Strip & assess, fully rebuild, and test complete 1920's & 30's Bentley engines, including on-car fault finding and setup

· Event and race preparation, attendance, and support.

· Provide technical support in the workshop when required to meet business needs

Key Responsibilities

· Strip & assess, fully rebuild, and test complete 1920's & 30's Bentley engines, including on-car fault finding and setup

· Understand, rectify vehicle issues, faults, and report in detail.

· Attend and assist with dynamometer & rolling-road sessions

· Keep meticulous build notes and records

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment and complete all necessary production control records (timesheets, inspection records etc)

· Quality control, tidiness and attention to detail are an absolute necessity

· Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to

Experience and Required Skills

· Very strong mechanical engineering fitting skills; knowledge of carburettors and magneto/coil ignition systems

· Sound mechanical diagnostic skills developed through manual experience

· High degree of accuracy combined with attention to detail and process adherence

· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with concise communication & record-keeping of car & build data

· Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role
