We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee our Endoscopy Decontamination team covering Princess Royal University Hospital. The team are currently based at the Vanguard Unit at Orpington Hospital, with a move to Princess Royal University Hospital planned within the next 18 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing day-to-day operations, and providing management and leadership for the endoscopy decontamination service. This role will form part of our Endoscopy Decontamination operational management team, including an Endoscopy Decontamination Manager covering the Denmark Hill site, a Quality Manager and Senior Supervisors, led by our Technical Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to team members, managers, and stakeholders on compliance with regulatory standards for decontamination processes.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of endoscopy decontamination units for the PRUH site (currently based in Orpington Hospital).
• Manage endoscopy decontamination processes, including staff supervision, stock management, and ensuring timely turnaround.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, such as European Standards BS. EN ISO 13485:2016, Medical Devices Regulation (MDR), and HTM 01-01 & 01-06.
• Manage risks associated with decontamination processes in accordance with clinical governance requirements.
• Actively participate in the Trust Infection Control Committee and Decontamination Committee.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging manager to join our service who has:

• previous experience in managing operational services within the healthcare sector
• the ability to train and assess staff, sterile services, and decontamination staff
• strong leadership skills with the ability to manage difficult situations effectively
• knowledge of national guidelines and best practices related to decontamination processes
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
