Douglas Scott are working with a law firm that has offices in Manchester City Centre and Cheshire who are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join them in the Manchester office.

They're seeking an ideal candidate to expand their HR services for their commercial clients, building upon our existing employment client base. Key responsibilities include establishing strong client connections and crafting market-ready packages in collaboration with our marketing and IT teams.

Additionally, you'll be working with both claimant & respondent matters, enhancing the firm's digital offerings and client portal. Your legal expertise as a qualified solicitor will be essential, complemented by a drive for growth and problem-solving.

To succeed in this role, you should:
  1. Possess a comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, staying updated with the latest legislative changes.
  2. Have hands-on experience advising both employers and employees on various employment law matters, such as discrimination, redundancy, disciplinary procedures, and employment contracts.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  4. Showcase experience representing clients in Employment Tribunals and mediations, as well as negotiating settlement agreements.
  5. Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Prioritize building and nurturing client relationships, delivering exceptional service and advice.
  7. Work effectively both as part of a team and independently, as situations demand.
  8. Proactively manage your time to meet deadlines and effectively handle workload demands.
