Senior Employment Paralegal
Slough, UK
A dynamic and forward-thinking law firm based in Slough, specialising in employment law is seeking a motivated and skilled Employment Paralegal to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own employment case work, representing Claimants in both litigated and non-litigated matters, and providing support to the firms Partners and Senior Solicitors on more extensive and high-value cases.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment and make a meaningful contribution to the firms clients' cases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage own caseload of employment matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Act as the primary representative for Claimants in litigated and non-litigated matters, providing expert legal advice and representation.
  • Adhere to procedural funding guideline time limits and provide support to Partners and Senior Solicitors on complex cases.
  • Handle Settlement Agreements and negotiate favorable terms for clients.
  • Staff the Advice Line and provide legal advice to Union Officers as needed.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of financial management processes, including WIP, disbursements, billing, and profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet or exceed set targets and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or relevant field.
  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal, preferably in employment law.
