We have a fantastic opportunity for three Employment Links Partnership Advisors at Rochdale Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Rochdale Council are looking for three Employment Links Partnership Advisors to provide an adaptable skills and employment service to adults, some with complex needs, working within the framework of multiple commercially driven, performance by results, contracts. 

What are your responsibilities?

  • The objective of the role is to identify, engage and sustain engagement, with suitable and eligible learners for the contracts.
  • Identify skills and barriers to employment and deliver a combination of bespoke 1-2-1 and generic employability group support, with the aim to remove barriers.
  • To achieve progression outcome measures, defined through distance travelled, increased work experience and knowledge of the labour market, increased skills, and entry into employment. 
  • Working on performance driven contracts, targeted to supporting people into work.
  • Working to quality and compliance standards as detailed by funding bodies.
  • Dealing with individuals who may have multiple problems, including vulnerable people.
  • Work in partnership with a variety of agencies to provide the best support to customers.
  • Act as a “key worker” to empower individuals, prioritise their goals using action plans.
  • Include other progress measures to move the customer forward i.e. training courses.
  • Manage and update information resources/systems in line with guidelines.
  • Participate in training, meetings, share best practice/good case studies when needed.
  • Able to travel if required around the borough to support customers with any barriers.
  • Work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve KPI’s in a target driven environment.

What skills do you Need?

  • Ideally to have previous experience within Recruitment, Job Coaching, or Career Advice.
  • Strong IT Skills, as you will be using word and excel.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, and other members of staff.
  • Valid Basic DBS
  • Working Hours Monday to Friday 9.00am - 17.00pm
