The purpose of the Central London Careers Hub is to provide young people with a world-class careers education system by increasing support for schools and colleges from employers, increasing coordination of careers provision in schools and colleges, and helping every young person access the information, skills, and experiences they need to make an informed decision about their future.

What the job is about

The Employer Engagement Enterprise Coordinator (EEEC) role was created due to an increase in funding available from the Greater London Authority and Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC)

The EEEC will work as a key team member alongside Enterprise Coordinators in the Careers Hub to support the team with their relationships with schools and businesses in the local area.  

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include
  • Supporting and encouraging all employers to provide opportunities for young people, for example through the Give an Hour campaign.
  • Working closely with the Hub Lead to manage the Cornerstone Employer Group (CEG), ensuring completion and regular review of the CEG self-assessment tool and the development of a commitment plan that reflects the priorities of the Careers Hub Strategic Hub Plan.
  • Engaging with employer-led groups including for example Skills Advisory Panels, LSIPs and local Sector initiatives and enabling collaboration with Cornerstone Employers as appropriate.
  • Maximising the availability of employer encounters across a wide range of sectors and showing alignment of these encounters with local labour market information (LMI)
  • Promoting opportunities for young people to hear about apprenticeships, technical and vocational training.
  • Proactive engagement with local Independent Training Providers (ITPs) to facilitate their engagement with schools as appropriate as part of Provider Access Legislation
  • Lead on the recruitment of Enterprise Advisers (EAs), encouraging diversity in recruitment and tracking the diverse and inclusive representation of local sectors.
  • Responsible for the smooth induction of Enterprise Advisers and for tracking the time to match them to a suitable school / college.
  • Effective stakeholder management and/or commissioning.
  • Implementing robust monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • The ability to negotiate commitment from stakeholders.

Skills & experience

Screening Criteria:
  • Experience of managing projects, from implementation through to delivery
  • Experience and understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational processes.
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.


Essential Criteria:
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging and building relationships with leaders from businesses, ideally in HR and Talent functions.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading the planning and delivery of programmes or projects with multiple stakeholders.
