The role

Working alongside our Employee Benefits Account Manager, this role assists with a range of administration duties in addition to client management, retention and new business tasks including:

  • Preparing suitability letters and managing renewals.
  • Recording and reconciling fees.
  • Liaising with product providers to ensure timely and accurate responses to clients.
  • Ensuring action points resulting from client meetings get diarised and dealt with.
  • Checking accuracy and completeness of new business documentation.
  • Obtaining quotes and application forms.
  • In time, negotiating quote prices with providers.
  • Handling incoming calls from our clients and providers.
  • Providing a friendly and professional point of contact for clients and enquiries.
  • Building rapport with clients and gaining an understanding of their motivations and requirements.
  • Promoting existing and additional lines of business.
  • Managing workflow.

Essential skills

  • Previous experience working in an employee benefits administration or pensions financial planning IFA support role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbally and in writing).
  • Resourceful and proactive.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic diary management.
  • Highly organised, methodical, and disciplined with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritise and plan own workload.
  • Able to work within defined business processes.
  • Show initiative and takes personal responsibility for completing tasks.
  • Adopts a positive attitude and is willing to assist others when busy.
  • Able to work under pressure on occasions to achieve deadlines.
  • Able to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision.

Benefits

Income protection, death in service and private medical insurance and salary sacrifice pension scheme. This is a permanent role, with full-time working hours between Monday and Friday (although we finish at 4pm on Fridays).

There is also the ability to work remotely for part of the week as the team operates on a hybrid basis. We support and encourage the continuous professional development of our team and so will cover the costs of any relevant training and qualifications you may wish to undertake to further develop your career.
