Employability Advisor: ESOL

Temporary ongoing, to start ASAP, 36 hours PW, term time only.

The role of the Employability Advisor is to provide advice and guidance, supporting students in their development of employment skills.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

• Create and deliver work related activities such as trips, visits, business mentoring and voluntary work to develop employment skills.
• Deliver employability sessions to timetabled groups and on an individual basis.
• Supervise groups of students as part of the timetabled Independent Study, marking registers to record attendance.
• Responsible for internal and external queries related to the employability skills programmes, liaising with employers and other curriculum areas.
• Liaise with the Work Experience, Employability and Careers Manager to ensure students are placed in appropriate work placements.
• Track student progression, monitoring attendance and employment skills development.
• Attend meetings and College events as directed.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience of delivering Employability / Careers / Work Placement advice.
• Previous experience of working within an education environment.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong admin and organisational skills.
