Leicester (2 days from home) - Embedded Software Engineer - Salary negotiable - circa 45-50k

This is a great opportunity to join one of our large clients operating in the marine space. They are looking to bring on a Embedded engineer with good Embedded C++ experience and multithreading knowledge. This Embedded role comes with hybrid working and great benefits.



Main Duties:

+ Develop and maintain multithreaded, real time embedded software applications developed in C++ and running under Linux/FreeRTOS
+ Work on custom drivers to interact with hardware components, with interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C.
+ Develop new as well as maintain existing software applications



Skills Needed:

+ Experience developing real time, embedded software applications using Linux and/or FreeRTOS.
+ Experienced with C++ development
+ Knowledge of Agile practices would be an advantage



Further Information:

This role comes with hybrid working and flexible hours. You will be expected to come to the office 3 days a week, and the core hours are 10-4pm Mon- Thu and 10-2pm on a Friday. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. They also have an 8% employer pension contribution with no employee expectation to contribute.
