An incredible opportunity awaits an experience Embedded Software Engineer to flourish within an established company in an exciting role. In this role, you will be accountable for working autonomously or collaboratively within a team, beginning with the initial specification phase, and extending through to final testing and documentation.


This position offers you the opportunity to enhance your current skills by utilizing your acquired career expertise. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you may be challenged to apply your embedded skills in tasks such as porting products from older or hard-to-source hardware to newer architectures. The company is currently undergoing developmental modernization, and you will play a pivotal role in steering their continuous integration system. Staying abreast of the latest trends in embedded technology and techniques is essential in this role.


With decades of establishment, the company stands as a frontrunner in developing and supplying industrial solution equipment to factories and machine builders globally. Bolstered by recent investments and ambitious initiatives, they are experiencing rapid growth. Operating on a global scale, they are now seeking to expand their presence in the UK due to organic growth.


This opportunity allows you to expand your experience with embedded software and work with cutting-edge technologies. The role involves five days onsite and it is important you can travel the companies Milton Keynes office.


The ideal candidate will possess experience in a similar role, have experience with embedded C/C++ development, experience with STM32 microcontrollers and knowledge of peripherals and communication protocols like SPI, I2C, DMA etc. Also experience with Eclipse based IDEs would be essential for the role e.g. IAR Embedded Workbench.

The person:

  • 3+ years of software development
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ development.
  • Experience with STM32 microcontroller (other Cortex based experience would be acceptable)
  • Able to work independently and as a team to complete projects on time.



The role:

  • Responsible for good modular code design and driving test development to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
  • Porting products with older or hard to source hardware to new architecture.
  • Being involved from the initial specification all the way through to the final testing and documentations
  • Working in a team and independently to ensure projects are completed to a high standard.
