Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a new financial services company in the South-west as they are seeking a Email Marketing Lead on a full times bases. The ideal person will work 3 days in the office and 2 from home in their HQ in Swindon.

To support significant growth, we are looking to hire an Email Marketing Lead to join the team. As the Email Marketing Lead you will guide and direct the development of our outbound email strategy for the UK (working with Group) so that it supports our lead generation and achieve our business objectives. You will be comfortable with putting the user at the heart of your strategy leveraging our email platform and techniques to facilitate your approach. Data and insight will be critical to your decision making.

To be a good fit for this role we expect you to have the relevant email experience. You will bring a fact based, test and learn approach to your thinking ensuring that your plan is aligned to our overarching UK marketing and business strategy.

This is a diverse and fast-paced role in a high growth environment, that requires excellent communication, organisation and ownership.

Responsibilities:

You will report into the Head of Marketing and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Building the UK email marketing strategy and plan, creating demand with our prospect target market and speaking to our in-life audience to support acquisition, cross-sales and retention.
  • Develop and implement email marketing strategies across functions, through the client’s life cycle journey.
  • Own and be responsible for activation and execution for all email activity and projects.
  • Measure key performance metrics, such as, but not limited to audience engagement, opens, and clicks.
  • Be proactive on recommendations on how to increase email performance, lead generation, cross sales, retentions.
  • Be responsible for the compliance of email marketing, through ensuring we are maintaining GDPR standards.
  • Ensure that the brand is accurately represented in the email marketing channel.
  • Own and manage the contract and relationship with data providers, including ownership and support for transactional data pulling.
  • Ownership and management for email activity budget.
  • Management of nurture sequences within the system. As well as ownership of building out sequences within HubSpot.
  • Ownership of contract and working relationship with email sending platforms.
  • Management of team members within team and contractors.
  • Supporting Group members with email marketing developments and outputs.

KPIs:

  • Volume and quality of email marketing qualified leads.
  • Successful embedding of email strategy and marketing plan.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong email marketing skills and experience, ideally B2B.
  • Experience using CRM systems (preferably Hubspot) and email delivery platforms.
  • Appropriate email marketing qualifications such as (CIM) (not essential).
  • Data driven decision making. A keen eye for the numbers and desire to interrogate the detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to multi-task and prioritise efficiently.
  • The ability to work independently and problem solve where necessary, as well as to work as an integral part of the team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Effective, versatile and action-oriented; able to engage in marketing planning discussions, manage the operational delivery, and to roll up your sleeves for all levels of tasks required.
  • Previous experience managing or leading teams is desirable.
