Role and Responsibilities:
As a Development Test Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of current and future well bore inspection tools.
Your responsibilities include:
- Crafting and implementing comprehensive test plans for innovative tools during development.
- Constructing prototype hardware and systems for diverse projects.
- Conducting system and board level testing to meet project objectives.
- Executing firmware, hardware, and software level testing.
- Designing and building test jigs and fixtures for effective board and system level testing.
- Generating detailed build and test manuals, collaborating closely with design and production teams for documentation.
- Collaborating with development, QA, and Management teams to enhance processes.
- Regularly reporting test progress to Project Leads Engineers and Project Managers.
- Clear and concise reporting of system issues to the development team.
- Collaborating with the development team to replicate issues and characterise behaviors for reliable testing of solutions.
- Contributing to the definition, improvement, and development of methods and processes.
- Implementing best practice engineering methods to uphold quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's HSE policy and promoting safety.
