Our client, a successful and expanding electronics manufacturing business, seek to appoint an Electronics Technician to support their manufacturing team by assembling circuits, modifying prototypes, testing products, evaluating new components and carrying out component level repairs and soldering to surface mount PCBs. You'll be joining an established market leader with a talented hardware team to learn from. You'll need an engineering qualification, experience working for an electronics manufacturer, and good communication skills for a diverse role with frequent engagement with multiple stakeholders.

Electronics Technician - Role and Responsibilities - Hardware, Components, Electronics, Surface Mount, PCB

* Provide technician support for the electronic engineering team, tackling a variety of tasks under engineer supervision
* Assemble and modify printed circuit boards which used mixed SMT and through-hole components
* Conduct performance, thermal and EMC tests on prototypes and finished product
* Diagnose and then repair faulty boards, including component level soldering on surface mount PCBs
* Assist with the introduction of new designs into production

Electronics Technician - Skills and Abilities - Hardware, Components, Electronics, Surface Mount, PCB

* A recognised technological qualification (electrical and electrical engineering preferred)
* Experience working for an electronics manufacturing business in a practical role
* Ability to understand electronic circuit schematics and the basic function of standard components
* A clear communicator able to multi-task to contribute to a diverse engineering team
