Our client, a reputable Manufacturing and Engineering company, is seeking an experienced Electronics Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. As an Electronics Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting electrical and electronic assemblies, with a focus on PCBs. This role involves working closely with the quality team to develop quality assurance documents, plans, procedures, and process flows. You will also be responsible for identifying quality problems and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct goods in, stage, and final inspection of PCBs, electrical, and electronic assemblies.
  • Manage calibrated tool control issuing and approval.
  • Assist with First Article Inspection in accordance with AS EN ISO 9100.
  • Aid in the resolution of quality-related problems.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Controller to develop, improve, and maintain quality standards.
  • Work with the Quality Controller to meet key performance targets, including quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Proactively communicate any issues that may impact delivery or quality to management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide QA support as necessary.
  • Assist the Quality Controller in diagnosing quality problems.
Requirements:
  • Industry Standard Inspection Qualifications (IPC).
  • Awareness and understanding of QMS Disciplines in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and AS EN 9100.
  • Awareness and understanding of ESD Controls.
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and instructions.


Working hours for this position are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:30 and on Fridays from 07:30 to 12:30. This is a contract role with a competitive pay rate of £13.00-£14.00 per hour.
