KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrable experience working in an engineering and/or technician capacity.
  • Expertise working with electronics and electrical systems (mechanical knowledge also a nice to have, but not essential).
  • Full driving license and happy to travel within the local region and work in outdoor environments.
  • Nice to haves: Robotics experience (although simply an interest in learning more about this domain would suffice!), any knowledge - or an interest in - agriculture & farming.

ROLE SUMMARY:

This organisation is a fast growing Agricultural Robotics business - still small in size but already with a footprint in the UK, Europe and North America. Agricultural robotics have the potential to transform parts of the AgriFood sector - allowing for more sustainable, efficient and lower cost methods of produce production.

With their robots operating on various farms around Kent, the company is seeking an Engineer with Electronics and Electrical experience to play a key role in robotic maintenance, updates and testing activities. A working knowledge of mechanical concepts would also be a bonus, although this is not essential and can be learned on the job.

Candidates will need to be comfortable with an element of travel and physical work, as well as being at home in a workshop environment. Not to mention working in the great outdoors and battling the elements at certain times of year!
