Overview of company and job title:
An exceptional Multi Billion Pound Engineering organisation located in Leicester (Leicestershire, East Midlands) who’re Global Leading experts in the industry sectors for Renewable Energy, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial and many more have an exciting position to hire for a brand new Electronics Design Engineer to join the business and be key player in the R&D team.

Salary on offer:
The salary on offer for the successful Electronics Design Engineeris £40,000 - £65,000 per annum.

The role:
The Electronics Design Engineer will experience exciting work that is varied, interesting, challenging and most importantly will have a focus on Research & Development, with the emphasis being on system level design, implementation, and testing, particularly on the company’s high value and customised products.

Electronics Design Engineer Key Skills:
  • HNC/Diploma/Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or higher, or demonstrable ability through experience
  • 3-5+ years minimum industry experience
  • Experience of the full design lifecycle
  • Electronics Circuit Design (analogue & digital)
  • PCB Design & Schematic Capture
  • Experience of Altium Designer, KiCAD, Cadence or similar ECAD Packages
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electronics schematics
  • Good communication skills face to face, on-line, and through documentation
  • Practical skills - Prototyping, fault find, bench testing, PCB rework, inspection
  • Show a flexible approach to work and a motivation to learn and develop
  • Demonstrable experience working in the development of electro-mechanical machinery with a strong knowledge of electronic control systems and an appreciation of mechanical mechanisms
  • Understanding & knowledge of the application of electronics to control applications and industrial settings.
Desirable nice to have skills:
  • Mechanical Design & Development – Solidworks or similar
  • Metrology Experience
  • Motor types and their control
  • Product safety and regulatory requirements – EMC, ESD, LVD, CE Marking
