Job Title: Assembly Operative
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £12.40 per hour
Hours: 07:30am - 4:30pm (Mon - Thurs)
07:30am - 12:00pm (Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Temp to Perm

The Company
Market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of specialist real-time passenger information systems and customer information systems primarily for the transportation and aerospace sectors.

Job Description
You will be responsible for:
* The assembly of passenger information products
* Ensure high standards of right first time, efficiency and service level are consistently achieved
* Ensure good levels of communication within the Team.
* Provide positive support to team members as required.
* To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices.
* To adhere to quality standards, factory rules and HR policies.
* To make positive contribution to continuous improvement activities.
* To adhere to all deadlines and targets set by Repair Team Leader.
* Establish good working relationship with the Repair team and key members of Manufacturing.
* Reporting of Health and Safety issues / near misses to Repair Team Leader.

Knowledge/experience/skills
* Experience using handtools
* Be able to follow assembly drawings
* Previous soldering skills would be beneficial
* Must be able to mechanically assemble items and wire them in line with manufacturer instructions.
