Electromechanical Support Engineer 

Monday - Friday: 8.00AM - 5.00PM (plus On Call Technical Support (One Weekend in 3, full pay regardless of hours worked -home working)

Annul Salary of up to £30,000 (OTE up to £34,250 including on-call work)

People Solutions are delighted to present a newly created opportunity for an Electromechanical Support Engineer to join our Stourport based client, who is a leading design, manufacture and install business within the commercial cleaning industry.

This is an office-based role that requires a degree of mechanical and electrical expertise, the position would ideally suit someone that would like to step out of a hands on engineering job into a desk-based position.
Occasional travel to sites will be required, therefore a full clean driver’s licence is needed.

The purpose of the role is to provide remote support to the field-based service team for a range of proactive and reactive technical queries.

Day to Day Duties

Daily Duties Include:

• Investigate queries and provide technical support and advice over the telephone.
• Occasional travel to site to resolve customer issues in person (You will be given access to a company vehicle for such visits).
• Updating job records in line with company procedures.
• Build strong working relationships with field-based Engineers and customers in order to find suitable resolution to problems.
• Research to understand common faults and their causes.
• Working to ensure that all queries are answered in line with client SLAs.

Essential Skills

• Relevant Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification.
• A full clean UK driver's licence.
• Multi-skilled with experience in both electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Working knowledge of single phase and three phase electrics.
• Lone and team working capability.
• Fact-finding skills, alongside the ability to present solutions.
• Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors.

Desirable Experience

• Previous work on the following equipment would be an advantage but not essential. Electrics (AC and DC), Single phase and three phase electrics, PLC’s, Air Compressors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Motors, Water Pumps, High Pressure Hoses, Solenoids, Photocells, Dosing Systems, Contactless Payment Terminals,  Water Reclaim Systems.

What training is provided?

Training and support will be offered 'on the job' starting from day one and ongoing.
